Spring Maintenance



Start with a spring cleanup. Pick up fallen limbs and rake up any remaining leaves. Rake sand and debris from lawns. Remove any mulching materials, burlap or other protection from exposed or sensitive plants from the cold weather. Prune out damaged twigs and limbs.

Watering Wisely



Spring rains are normally sufficient in most areas for a healthy lawn and landscape, but if you do need to water during a dry spell, remember to water deeply so the moisture penetrates four to six inches into the soil. The point is to help plants establish roots deeper into the soil, making them sturdier and more drought resistant.
